About

I first entered a radio studio aged 13 and got my first paid presenting job at 16. More than four decades later, I’m still fascinated by people, stories and what makes us tick.

I’m a broadcaster, presenter, producer and writer whose career has moved through commercial radio, television, fitness, filmmaking, publishing and digital media.

I’ve never followed a particularly straight career path, but communication has always been the constant. Finding the story, understanding the audience and making complicated or personal subjects feel like a conversation rather than a lecture.

What interests me now

These days I’m particularly interested in people at points of change: men in midlife, reinvention, ageing, confidence, mental health and what happens when you discover something fundamental about yourself much later than expected.

I was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in adulthood, I’m an ambassador for MANUP?, and I spent more than 25 years working professionally with men through fitness, confidence and wellbeing. Those experiences give me subjects I care deeply about, but they’re part of what I do, not the limits of it.

I’m just as interested in factual television, travel, lifestyle, human stories, radio, documentaries, writing and whatever genuinely interesting idea comes next.

Away from the cameras

After exploring the canals of the UK in our narrowboat, Silver Fox, I now live in the Scottish Highlands with my husband Shaun. We’ve been together since 1992 and, in 2024, finally got married at Ardross Castle, better known to millions of viewers as the castle from The Traitors.

Life outside work usually involves travelling, writing, walking, dogs, beekeeping, chickens and the slightly surreal reality of selling our own eggs and honey from an honesty box at home.

After more than four decades in media, I’m still happiest when there’s something new to learn, somewhere interesting to go or a good story to tell.
