Work
My career has never fitted particularly neatly into one box.
I’ve worked across radio, television, factual production, digital media and writing, both in front of the camera and behind it. That has meant everything from live commercial broadcasting and presenting to developing ideas, producing, directing, filmmaking, voiceovers, and publishing books.
The work below isn’t intended to be a complete CV. It’s a selection of the projects and roles that best show the range of what I do, how I tell stories and the experience I can bring to whatever comes next.
Television & Factual Production
Britain by Narrowboat
I produced, directed, wrote and presented Britain by Narrowboat, a factual travel series exploring Britain’s inland waterways through landscape, history, communities and life on the water.
I worked across the full production, from developing the editorial direction and individual stories to location filming, directing, writing and presenting. The completed series was subsequently distributed internationally through Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.

YouTube & Digital Media
Foxes Afloat
I created Foxes Afloat as an independent factual and lifestyle brand, developing it from a waterways channel into a broader mix of travel, rural life, personal storytelling and documentary-style content.
Alongside presenting, I’m closely involved in shaping the editorial direction, filming, producing and editing the channel. Foxes Afloat now reaches more than a quarter of a million followers and subscribers across social platforms, with 40M+ YouTube views.

Radio & Broadcasting
Radio Aire & Lincs FM Group
I started broadcasting at 16 and was working in commercial radio while still in my teens, going on to build a career across stations including Radio Aire, Trax FM, Rother FM, Ridings FM and Dearne FM.
My radio work included live presenting Breakfast, Mid-morning, Drivetime, and weekend shows, giving me decades of experience in holding an audience, working unscripted, reacting in the moment and making information feel conversational rather than delivered.

Writing & Publishing
Books, Features & Long-Form Storytelling
Writing has run alongside my broadcasting and filmmaking for years, from long-form magazine features and personal essays to published fiction.
I wrote regularly for Waterways World, covering waterways, travel, photography, social media and life in the public eye, and have also contributed to a number of mental-health blogs and publications, writing from lived experience about mental health, neurodivergence and the pressures that can sit behind an apparently successful public life.
I’ve also published two books, both reaching Amazon Kindle bestseller status. Writing gives me the space to explore subjects in more depth than television or social media sometimes allows, whether that’s factual, personal or fictional.

MANUP? Ambassador · Lived Experience Advocate · Speaker
Alongside my media work, I speak openly about men’s mental health, ADHD, autism, confidence, body image and the experience of understanding yourself later in life.
I’m an ambassador for MANUP?, and my perspective also draws on more than 25 years working professionally with men through fitness and coaching. I was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in my forties, giving me first-hand experience of what it means to look back on decades of life through a completely different lens.
I’m also a long-term naturist, which has shaped my interest in male body confidence, ageing and challenging the idea that ordinary bodies need to be hidden, fixed or apologised for.
I’ve discussed these subjects through podcasts, interviews and digital media, and I’m open to broadcast interviews, podcasts, panels, campaigns and speaking opportunities where lived experience and straightforward communication can add something useful.
